Emulsifier made from upcycled brown algae (Sargassum Fluitans/Natans extract)
This award-winning raw material is the world's first cosmetic emulsifier based on seaweed. It is derived from upcycled brown algae (so-called Sargassum), which release methane - a dangerous greenhouse gas - when they decompose. By processing Sargassum algae into biomaterials, this release is prevented and beaches are cleaned up. The resource has long been considered waste, yet it does not require land or other resources to grow, making it an extremely sustainable source of active ingredients. The raw material contributes to a pleasant skin feel, a soft texture and good absorption properties and also has moisturizing properties on the skin. Clinical studies have confirmed a 27% increase in hydration within 2 hours.
